Hoost da man: Fedor Emelianenko shipped to Holland for a 'Perfect' training camp

Looks like Fedor is a big fan of Holland (no, the other Holland).

Despite a somber post-fight retirement speech following his Feb. 12 shellacking at the hands of Brazilian "Bigfoot" Antonio Silva, the past "Emperor" is likely to make a last-ditch effort to go out on a high note when he returns to the Strikeforce cage this summer.

July 2011, to be exact.

That's when the former PRIDE heavyweight champion is expected to compete against an opponent to be named. And with the wily Russian staring down the barrel of three consecutive losses, he's pulling out all the stops to insure that scenario doesn't come to fruition.

Enter four time K-1 World Champion Ernesto "Mr. Perfect" Hoost.

Emelianenko was bounced from the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix Tournament earlier this year after the cageside doctor deemed him unfit to answer the bell for round three of his quarterfinal bout against Silva.

Aside from the shock of his second consecutive loss, it was clear "The Last Emperor" was being manhandled for most of the fight, leaving many fans wondering if what was once considered the greatest heavyweight MMA fighter in history was outdated and overmatched.

Retirement talk was quickly scrapped a few days following the "Fedor vs. Silva" event and Emelianenko was back to work following the recent announcement of his participation in Strikeforce's upcoming July show.

To help prepare him for his next fight, Emelianenko arrived last Sunday in the Netherlands for his first International training camp since 2005.

Whaddaya say Maniacs, is this change of scenery going to help him come back a more complete fighter? Or is he fixing parts that weren't broken?

Opinions, please.

I think Fedor is still the best MMA Fighter in the world. Love to see Fedor training with Baukaw Por Pramuk so his Thai Boxing would be mega sharp Lots of jab & Elbow combinations , knee strikes, spinning elbow, spinning hammer fists, Thigh Kicks, Front Push Kicks, Etc. Ernesto Hoost is a great sparring Partner for Fedor. Excellent training partners would be Rodrigo Gracie, Dos Santos & Randy Couture. Fedor needs a cobination of Sambo , Thai Boxing, Western Boxing, Wrestling & Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Maybe get Mike Tyson as his Boxing Instructor. I think Fedor could beat Brock Lesnar and also beat Cain Velasquez. But Fedor should start easy fight Dan Henderson first . Fedor needs 6 months serious training in Holland mixtrure of Wrestling, Boxing, Thai Boxing, Sambo & Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Fedor needs to concentrate on combinations speed stamina power expolsiveness and widen both his grappling wrestling & striking techniques and then fight Brock Lesnar or Cain Velasquez. Fedor will always be King of MMA.

Fedor, congratulation is a good iniciative to go out and complete training in other places of the world with diferent people, this will help you a lot. In the other hand do not stop there go on with the internatinal training not only in Holland also in USA, or Brasil could be a good experience for you. Also try to train with bigger and faster sparring than you, Best rgds oliver
