It can be argued that Strikeforce will showcase the best male and female fighters to ever put on a pair of mixed martial arts gloves when Fedor Emelianenko and Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos take the cage on June 26th.

Emelianenko owns a ridiculous 31-1 professional record and is prefect through his last 27 contests. In his Strikeforce debut this past November, the former Pride heavyweight champion posted a vicious 2ndRound knockout of then-undefeated Brett Rogers.

Fedor will put his winning streak on the line against Fabricio Werdum, who boasts a respectable 13-4-1 overall mark and is perfect in his two scraps for Strikeforce. He was last seen taking a hard-fought unanimous decision over Antonio “Big Foot” Silva on the same “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers” show.

Cyborg became the organization’s first female champion after steamrolling Maxim cover girl Gina Carano with a vicious barrage of punches in the 1stRound of their highly anticipated August 2009 affair. She defended her belt against Marloes Coenen earlier this year.

Jan Finney will be entering the HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA as a significant 9-to-1 underdog against Cyborg.
