Fighters.com Heavyweight Champion āLast Emperorā Fedor Emelianenko (30-1) and fifth-ranked heavyweight āGrimā Brett Rogers (10-0) both made weight Friday before their matchup at Strikeforce at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates northwest of Chicago November 7.
Emelianenko weighed-in at 232 pounds. Rogers closed in on the 265-pound heavyweight limit at 264 pounds.
Also on the CBS broadcast portion of the card, second-ranked middleweight Jake Shields (23-4-1) and his challenger āMayhemā Jason Miller (22-5) for the vacant Strikeforce title also made weight.
Shields weighed 184.5 pounds. āMayhemā weighed 184 pounds.
Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi (22-2-1) met the division limit at 205 pounds. His non-title challenging opponent āAfrican Assassinā Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (6-4) weighed 204.
Ninth-ranked heavyweight āVai Cavaloā Fabricio Werdum (11-4-1) weighed 242 pounds. His opponent, former EliteXC heavyweight champ āJuniorā Antonio Silva (13-1), also just made the division limit at 263 pounds.
