Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker has confirmed last week that their prized heavyweight, Fedor Emelianenko, will be making his return to the promotion in June.
"M-1 Global and Strikeforce entered into a three fight contract exclusive for Fedor to fight in a co-promotion between Strikeforce and M-1 Global, and as you know we did the first fight on November 7th in Chicago," Coker told reporters following last Monday's Dream.13 event in Japan.
"Fedor is now scheduled to fight in June towards the end of the month in America against Fabricio Werdum."
Fedor holds an astonishing 31-1 record. The win marked Emelianenko's 27th consecutive.
Werdum boasts a respectable 13-4-1 overall mark and is perfect in his two bouts for Strikeforce.
